If you’re anything like me, you’re always on the lookout for science kits for kids that are actually worth the money — the kind that don’t end up shoved in a closet after one use.

Pro tip: Most of these dig kits ARE messy, so I would definitely recommend having your kids do them outside!

Cracking open a geode is pure magic every single time. You never know what the next one will look like! And, of course, my kids loved the opportunity to smash things.
